I had the absolute pleasure of working with David and Paul on their modern black and gold wedding that took place last November at the Gardiner Museum. I loved our meetings, together with their wedding planner Shealyn Angus from Bliss Events, to create these spectacular black, white and gold wedding invitations. The paper was ultra thick and felt like suede. Their names were gold foiled, the white text screen printed and the stripes were a matte black foil to give a subtle texture on both the front and back. The look and feel was then translated to the rsvp cards on a white card stock and custom postage stamps.
David and Paul had a clear vision of what they wanted for their big day. Modern, black tie and accents of gold and glam. It was magical to see it all come together and so fun to work with them! I love how the stripes from the invitations were added to the ghost chairs at both the ceremony and dinner.
For their wedding day stationery, I designed personalized menus, table number tent cards and a large seating chart which all carried through the design details from their invitations.
The stunning florals and decor were created by the team at Jackie O with a delicious cake and sweet table by Nadia & Co~. Their photographer Tara McMullen captured the love and beautiful of this special day. I smile overtime I see these photos of David and Paul – they just look so darn happy! Their wedding is featured in the current issue of Wedluxe Magazine on newstands now.
