Beethoven’s Immortal Beloved – As seen on Wedluxe
A few months ago I got to work with a stellar team of creative people on a style shoot for Wedluxe Magazine (which was just featured on their blog). Photographed by Alicia Thurston Photography and concept by RDT Events + Beauty and Melissa Baum Events – who were amazing to work!
Our inspiration was Beethoven’s love letters to his immortal beloved – Josephine. For the stationery I created a pattern and monogram to use throughout and found the perfect font with a musical feel (befitting the maestro himself). The baroque wedding invitations were die-cut into the shape similar to the dinner plate we used on the table. The envelope featured the pattern on the inside and folded into itself and attached with a sticker. I also designed custom postage stamps to complete the suite.
The idea for the escort cards was the quill of a pen so I created a feather design which was then die-cut into the shape. I love how they looks on the bed of lavender…despite being allergic and not being able to touch any of it during the photoshoot! I also created menus and signage matching the soft colour palette of lavender, grey, blue and ivory.
I LOVED the florals Daniella from D&D Floral Designs created for this photo shoot! I’ve worked with her quite a bit over the past few years and her work never ceases to amaze me.
It is always a pleasure working with Patricia of Patricia’s Cake Creations and she created a beautiful cake and sweet table.
